Artisan Real Estate is bringing a new chapter to Albany House, a five-storey office building at 58 Albany Street, on the corner of Broughton Street in Edinburgh. The project will transform the existing 1980s building into a 102-bedroom hotel under Whitbread’s hub by Premier Inn brand.

Planning consent has been granted for the conversion, which will retain the building’s sandstone exterior while creating a contemporary hotel interior. Working with Whitbread, Artisan’s proposals incorporate improved insulation and energy technology, making productive use of an existing building in a well-connected location on the edge of Edinburgh’s historic New Town.

The development will add to the city’s visitor accommodation and support the shops, restaurants and cultural attractions around Broughton Street and the eastern city centre.
