Thursday 19th May 2016 marked the official opening of the highly anticipated Arches retail complex at New Waverley in Edinburgh, to which Artisan has introduced over £150m of international investment. During the evening, Artisan was represented by Charlotte Swanson, Clive Wilding, Malcolm Levy, Jaco Jansen and Adam Tutka.
Situated beside the Waverley station and just moments away from the Royal Mile, The New Waverley is one of the most exciting, mixed-use ongoing developments in Scotland. Artisan and its developers have facilitated the conversion of the once boarded up and overlooked Victorian stone arches into chic, high end, independent businesses. During the launch party, the Arches retailers provided many samples of their produce and offerings with a range of entertainment being provided for the guests to enjoy.
As the evening progressed, Clive thanked guests, neighbours and the tenants for their ongoing support during the project and for helping Artisan to realise its vision in bringing the site back to life. Jaco also added that Artisan was extremely proud to be part of such an exciting project and was pleased that the site was able to maintain and enhance its Victorian charm.
